Aerial Lift Device Design Examples:

The aerial lift devices described and discussed in this site include those that are "insulated" as well as some that are not insulated but that are used primarily in the electrical utility industry and other industries that work in and about high voltage transmission, distribution, and service lines.  In this category there are three main types of device designs: 1) the articulated aerial lift device; 2) the telescopic aerial lift device; and the digger derrick device.  Each of these designs are used to a large extent in the electrical power industry.  There are two basic design configurations for insulated aerial lift devices: articulated booms and telescopic booms.  Digger derricks are usually not insulated to ANSI certifiable standards.  For a more detailed discussion of each, please click on the corresponding hyperlink.
